It’s summer. I thought things were supposed to SLOW DOWN in the summer. Instead, it feels like the past week flew by and left me behind in a dusty little heap in the corner clutching my laptop, yelling at my kids, my only meaningful conversation with my dog. (he never talks back) So today, as we begin a new week I look back and cling to the little victories I managed to scrape out over the past week – and pray I can build on these and maybe have a wee bit more fun in the days ahead. Today I celebrate the little things:
There was enough cream left in the container for 1 more coffee. Okay, just half a coffee but I’ll take it.
I caught the fruit fly infestation at the very beginning of their brutal invasion.
I made muffins and only ate one, okay two.
It’s been raining for days but I did find a $20.00 bill in my raincoat.
I broke my phone charger but found a spare!
Both daughters were working on the same day – this equals a spontaneous date night for me and Hubby.
I found the pack of gum in my pocket before it went into the washing machine. Good grief that could have been a mess.
That number on the scale went DOWN! I’m pretty sure the scale is broken but who the hell cares.
Less than a week until the next cottage getaway. The lake calls.
There was enough toilet paper left on the roll that I wasn’t forced to choose between drip dry or Glamour Magazine!
Sometimes you just have to take joy in life’s little victories! Hope you all have a fabulous week and find a little something to smile about.

Nothing better than going into a jacket you haven’t worn for a bit and finding money! Better than a used tissue.

Darn those fruit flies! Do you have a good tip to prevent their invasion?
